Systems, platforms, integrations and data

Digital Transformation Consulting

Murarum's digital transformation consulting designs and builds the systems, integrations and data that let mid-market companies of 10 to 250 people keep up with growth, from legacy modernization to new platforms. It starts with a diagnosis that sets the scope and timeline, and the change is built and handed over to your team, not only recommended.

Illustrative example: a target architecture. Every system connects through one integration layer, and every dataset has a named owner.

When this fits

The signs digitalization fell behind growth.

Tools that do not talk to each other

Orders live in one system, stock in another, invoices in a third. Someone re-types the data between them, and the errors surface with the customer.

Legacy systems nobody dares touch

The core system is ten years old, the person who built it is gone and every change is a risk. The company works around it instead of on it.

Vendors that stop at the POC

The pilot looked good in the demo. It never reached production, never connected to the ERP and never got handed to your team.

Specific solutions

When the problem is this specific.

How it runs

Diagnose, design, build, scale.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We map every system, integration and data flow the company depends on, and where each one breaks under load. Nothing gets built before this map exists.

Output: systems map and integration audit.

  2. 02

    Design

We define the target architecture: which systems stay, which go, how they connect and who owns each dataset. Security requirements enter here, not at the end.

Output: target architecture and data ownership.

  3. 03

    Build

We build the platforms and integrations with your IT team in the loop, in increments that reach production one at a time, not in a single big-bang release.

Output: working systems, built with your IT team.

  4. 04

    Scale

We hand over documentation, runbooks and monitoring so your team runs the system without us. Continuity after hand-off is part of the scope, not a retainer.

    Output: hand-off and runbooks.

Systems that talk,
data you own

CRM, ERP and workspace tools wired into one integration layer, with the data in a database you own and dashboards your team reads without asking anyone.

Proof

Built for scale, running in production.

Sunday runs a branded merchandise platform that ships to 200+ countries. We moved its public website off WordPress and rebuilt it: new page and content architecture, design, a Next.js build and QA, now more than 6,100 pages in five languages. For Georgescu & Gonț, a law firm with 30+ years of casework, we designed and built the platform that makes that record legible to clients.

Frequently asked questions

What does digital transformation consulting include?

It includes four things: a diagnosis of the systems, integrations and data you run today; a target architecture that says what stays, what goes and how it connects; the build of the platforms and integrations with your IT team; and a hand-off with documentation and runbooks. It does not include software licences, staff augmentation or a report without a build.

How is digital transformation different from process automation?

Process automation removes manual steps inside a process that already works, often with the tools you have. Digital transformation changes the systems the processes run on: platforms, integrations and data. Automating on top of systems that do not talk to each other usually fails, so we sequence the two. We explain the difference and the order in our article Process automation vs digital transformation, on the Insights page.

Do we have to replace our ERP?

Usually not. Most of the problems we see come from what sits around the ERP: missing integrations, data re-typed by hand and reports built outside it. We start by mapping what the ERP does well and connect the rest to it. A replacement is recommended only when the diagnosis shows the system itself blocks growth, and then in stages, never as a stop-the-company rebuild.

How do you work with our internal IT team?

As one team. Your IT people join the diagnosis, review the target architecture and build alongside us. They have access to every repository and environment from day one. The goal is that they run the system without us, so we document as we build and hand over runbooks, not just code.

Who owns the data and the security?

You do. Data stays in your accounts and infrastructure, or with providers you contract directly; we never hold the only copy. Access is role-based and reviewed at hand-off. Security requirements from your IT team or your auditors are part of the design phase, not a checklist at the end.

What happens if you are not around in a year?

The systems keep running without us. The code and the accounts are in your name, every system comes with documentation, and at handover your team is trained to use and administer it. We have been shipping products since 2012, and any bug in what we built is covered for 12 months after launch. Staying on with us for Scale is an option, not a dependency.
